Samantha Grant
Associate
Samantha is an Associate in the Firm’s Litigation and Alternative Dispute Resolution Department.
She joined the firm in January 2022 following her graduation from the Norman Manley Law School in September of 2021 and admission to the Jamaican Bar in December of 2021.
Her multifaceted practice includes complex commercial litigation, civil matters including employment disputes, personal injury, and breach of contract, tortuous claims such as medical negligence and breach of statutory duty, contentious property matters, enforcement of judgments, family law, and constitutional law matters. Samantha also has experience with Estate Administration having been previously employed with the Administrator General’s Department.
Samantha, a Campion College Alum, has excelled in her academic career in law from as early as 2016 where she awarded the Top Law Student of her graduating class, and placed in the top ten students in the Caribbean in the sitting of her CAPE Law Exam. She earned a Bachelor of Laws Degree with Upper Second Class Honours from the University of the West Indies, Mona and graduated from the Norman Manley Law School on the Principal’s Roll of Honour. She was the recipient of numerous awards at each level of study for academic performance, leadership and community service.
Samantha was an avid mooter having competed in the Phillip C. Jessup International Law Moot Court Competition, the Caribbean Court of Justice Moot Court Competition and the International Criminal Court Moot Competition. Out of over 1200 speakers across 75+ countries, Samantha ranked in the Top 200 speakers for the Phillip C Jessup Moot Court Competition.
Throughout Samantha’s studies she has held executive positions on student bodies including the Mona Law Society where she served as President and the Guild Council of the UWI where she served as Law Representative. She is actively engaged in activities at her church and is involved in mentorship for her peers and youth.
Since her graduation in 2019, Samantha has been an Adjunct Tutor at the University of the West Indies where she also continues to mentor students and lend support through the Alumni Association as the Chair of the Jamaican Chapter. Samantha is also currently a member of The Jamaica Bar Association.

Samantha has acted as advocate and instructing counsel in civil and commercial litigation matters including the acquisition of interim and post judgment injunctions in the Supreme Court of Jamaica. She has crafted submissions for several successful cases across a range of practice areas.
She has been closely involved in major continuing civil litigation lending critical research support and appearing as junior counsel to Queen’s Counsel and other leading counsel in several practice areas. These include complex commercial litigation, unprecedented arbitration proceedings, other novel claims, and notable constitutional claims under The Charter of Rights.
