John G. Leiba

John Leiba has considerable experience in several aspects of law, mainly in conveyancing and commercial law.
He has served as President of the Jamaican Bar Association and Chairman of the Legal Committee of the Real Estate Board and Strata Corporation. He has also served on several boards including Manufacturer’s Merchant Bank, Carimed Limited and has been involved in several divestments including National Commercial Bank, Cement Company and Versair.
John presently uses the expertise and contacts he has acquired from these varied areas of practice to resolve complex problems in sub-division and commercial transactions.
John is presently a member of the Developers Association, Chairman of the Scouts Association of Jamaica, Chairman of St. Jago High School Foundation, Manager of St. Jago High School Track Team – one of the largest programmes in the island with several olympians. John is the Chairman of the Firm’s Pension Fund and Office Management Limited, the Real Estate arm of DunnCox; a member of the Jamaica Amateur Athletic Association, Special Olympics Jamaica Limited and Jamdammers Running Club.

- Transfer of a hotel in Negril, Jamaica and reinstated a real estate development in Montego Bay, Jamaica that had intractable problems.
- Obtained licenses from the Cannabis Licensing Authority for two clients.
